Elim Bible Chapel exists to glorify God by being and making mature disciples of our Lord Jesus Christ.
(Romans 12:1, Matt 28:18-20).
We will endeavor to do this by seeking opportunities to introduce people to Jesus and baptizing them in Christ; by teaching them to obey everything that He has commanded, and by providing opportunities for them to serve Him through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Elim Bible chapel endeavors to be a church that seeks to foster authentic relationship with God and one another through true fellowship and genuine community.
(1 John 1:3, John 17:22-23, Heb 10:24-25)
True Fellowship is "participating together in the life and truth made possible by the Holy Spirit through our union with Christ. It is sharing with each other our experience with God himself." (In part from Why Small Groups? C.J. Mahaney, Sovereign Grace Ministries, 1996. pg 19)
We will endeavor to know God's Word and to teach it without apology and obey it whole heartedly.
(2 Tim 4:2, Matt 28:18-20, Acts 2:42)
We will seek to have honest, authentic and loving relationships with God and one another.
(Acts 2:42, 1 John 1:3, Heb 10:24-25)
Breaking of Bread
We will seek to always remember, celebrate, and proclaim our Saviour, Jesus Christ and the finished work of our redemption by his death and resurrection, through the symbols he gave us.
(Luke 22:19-22, Acts 2:42, 1 Cor 11:24-25)
We are always and forever in utter dependence on God to build His kingdom, and therefore we will make prayer a central practice in all we do.
(Acts 4:24, Eph 6:18)
Jesus calls his people the salt of the earth and the light of the world. He calls us to go into all the world to love and to make disciples of all people. Therefore we will seek opportunities to boldly proclaim the Gospel locally and actively support mission endeavors globally.
(Matt 5:13-16, Eph 6:18-19, Col 4:2-6)
